This bush is actually a woody stem about 3 feet high although I have noticed that
the mature ones may clump. The white little flowers are on top of the bush and leaves but the berries are below the leaves as if they are a necklace. The stem is bare of leaves until the top.
My concern is that the berries might be poisonous and I do have grandchildren who visit and who will be attracted by the berries.
The property was originally owned by a horticulturalist who planted many valuable trees and shrubs so I would like to preserve these if they are safe. We live in northwest Florida almost at the Alabama border.
