I'm new to gardening (accept when I helped my Father 30 years ago). After I planted my red rads in mid summer, my neighbor said they would'nt be successful because rads need colder weather. Well, I've been eating them for the last week, and they're really good. (I don't want to tell my neighbor BTW)
Mine don't get alot of sun (by accident, they're shaded often by house and a tree). Are they successful because they get less sun? Is it because of the different seeds that we each purchased?
I really love radishes, and next year I'd love to do many more different varieties.
We live in the U.P. of Michigan, which has a short growing season. Also, I did use "Miracle Grow Potting Soil" when planting all of my vegies in the garden.
