Lets put it on the run.....after the sun goes down have a mix of 1 teasp liquid hand soap & 1 qt of water and mix & spray and repeat when needed....when the plants are ready to cut...don't wait for yellow flowers at that is too long to wait........cut the florets on a slant and do your soaking of these florets OUTSIDE because those bugs hide inside.............have a hugh bowl and put 1/2 cup salt in cold water and put those florets inside the water/salt mix...they will be fighting to get out of that water. Do it again.......then the final soak rinse is cold water and I check each one and make sure no bugs. Leave the leaves on the plants as you will get some more come on the sides of the stalk.......later when the plant is done....the leaves are edible and the stalk is edible.....if you don't like to eat that....if you have chickens just tie a rope on it and hang it off the ground and those chickens will eat the whole thing.
