I have a 20 year old yellow(green) fig. In the past it produced really nice figs on the first crop. The next crop had twice as many, but not so large. During the last few years, the leaves are about 1/4 the size they used to be, and the first crop is scarce. The 2nd crop has many, but quite small. I live in the high desert in Kingman, AZ. I thought I trimmed correctly, but the limbs seem extra long and have fewer and smaller leaves. Do I need to fertilize more and what should I use?
