where do skunks sleep?

In dens? Are dens completely underground? Do skunks dig tunnelsystems?

They sleep under sheds, in hollows of trees.  They love grapes that fall from the vine, they come out during the quiet of the night and eat all kinds of bugs.  Then also live in dens under rocks.  Where you see a shunk you will not see mice or rats as shunks will eat them.  They are scavengers, rake up any fruit, use a tray under bird feeders, keep trash cans sealed & in a locked shed.  Use an enclosed compost bin, close off any place under your deck, porch or shed.  store wood in a closed shed.  They don't like lighting.  Pepper spray on trees, ammnonia soaked rags, orange & lemon peels, motion activated sprinkler or call animal control.  Don't get close as they WILL spray you or bite you, they could have rabies.

We had a grounddog dig under our shed............then the shunks took over.........never had another mouse or bug..........no grubs so they did not dig our yard.  The funniest thing that happened was company came from Germany, we were eating at our outside table with candles burning and a baby skunk came out from under the shed, the friend saw it, never saw a skunk before...He only spoke German..very little english..........He grabbed his camera and was running after the shunk that was running about our pool area.......I am telling him to stop....then in German..........I shouted HALT.........finally he stopped before it sprayed him.  Then my hubby told him.......NAY............and explained that it will spray him and that he would need to bathe in milk & tomatoe juice and throw away his clothes...............
