I planted a 2.5" northern catalpa last September in my yard (Eden Prairie, MN). The leaves fell pretty shortly after that. I watered etc like I was instructed to do. I know that it is one of the last trees to get leaves in the spring, and we have had a wierd, cold spring, but should I be concerned that it's not doing anything yet? Does it need more time due to the cold spring? I have seen a couple tiny tine little buds on a branch or so, but overall it looks dead.
