I have large dark green leaves and plants are about 6 fee tall, there are a lot of stems that look like there should be flowers there, but no flowers, thus no beans.

How old is your bean plant?  And what type is it>  -Birdy

Planted seeds around end of May, can't remember what type of bean.  Beautiful vines and lots of stems where flowers should be.
It could be the soil itself, if there is an over-abundance of nutrients then the vine has no need to reproduce; if the soil was harsher and the plant was a wee bit struggling, then there would be a need to reproduce and you would have flowers and hence beans.   You could stop watering the plant for a bit, or cut down on the amount of water being given to the plant and see if that happens to do the trick.  Or, in the alternate, you may have received a hybrid plant that produces nothing but leaves. =Birdy

before you planted did you lime and do fertilizer?
by Master Gardner (152k points)
No lime or fertilizer ever, vines are beautiful, lots of stems where flowers should be, weather has been high 70's to mid 80's with nice rainfall.  Snap peas planted next to beans have produced like crazy, but no bean flowers

PH should be 6.0 to 7.5 and it good to rotate where you plant your crop.
