You could put them in a 55 gallon container of water and they will bloom. They are strickly for water. They keep the water clean for the fish ponds and keep the water cooler for fish & other aquatic life. I have a pond 10x10x10 I leave them in all winter. They die off and go to the bottom. In late June they started to come up to the top. We see the green round leaves first.....flowers start in June to August...........then they start to get ready for winter. I don't think that would do well in the house as a lot of insects visit the flowers during the sun light hours.
