They are looking for a nice place to live. The lawn & garden store have something that you can mix and dip the whole plant in a 5 gallon bucket. Leave it there in the mix until the bubbles stop..................then let it drain before bring it back in. I heard something on TV that vinegar & water......spray that area lightly and if it;s wood you have to dry it off. They have little ant traps that have a little hole but you have to keep that away from children & pets. They are getting in somewhere. You might need to spray the perimeter outside your house, looking for how or where they are getting in.
If your door has cement outside you can draw a line or white chalk, they won't cross it. Check the stormdoor to see if the bottom is fitting tightly.Only SPRAY THE AREA WITH THE VINEGAR WATER>>>>>NOT THE PLANT> I never heard of indoor money plants. They are outside plants in Pa......maybe the ants were in the soil. Did you buy this plant from a store or did someone give it to you. You have to use good soil..you also could take it outside and get the good houseplant dirt that has the vitamins in it. You can not use just any soil. They special soil for inside use has been baked first, strained and then they add the admenments and safe for house plants.
