I would dig them up and wrap them in single newspaper and put them in the refrigerator drawer until the day that you move..........then move them in a cooler and the keep them in a very cool place and plant them as soon as you can work & amend the ground......put some bone meal in the bottom before putting the bulbs in the ground.  Good luck with your move.

I hope that your move went well and that your iris came up with wonderful blooms for you.  Give them more bone meal in the fall around them.  In the spring a little bit on old horse manure and a spinkle of lime.  I have an unusual color from 1930 that is very dark navy blue.  we are waiting for them to open.

these are very hardy plants!  cut the plant part off.  dig up the bulbs, keep them dry. a brown paper bagf works great.  they can be kept for years like that.  plant them when its convenient.  the bone meal in the hole when you do plant that others referred to will help when you are ready to plant.
