1) I have a row of lilac bushes that are about 6' tall and are right in the road for what I would like to do with my yard; also the blooms are becoming fewer and fewer each year. I would like to make them 3' tall and transplant them. So, my questions are a) can I just cut them in half or should it be done gradually, and if gradually how gradually? b) Being an established bush, such as it is, would it survive transplanting? c) What would be the best time of year to take all this on? 2) I also have some blackberry and raspberry starters that have been in the ground for 3ish years now. I have never had any blackberries and haven't had raspberries since the first year I planted them. I am wanting to move them as well, cause I think that's part of my problem with them. a) what is the best time to move them? b) What things should I keep in mind for their new home, soil, light conditions and such? Thank you, Lacey
