can i grow gala apple trees from seed in northern nova scotia canada

i have a norland apple tree last year i had a bumper crop od apples this year in will be lucky to have two dozen apples  can something be done to reduce the bumper crop and increase the low crop   thank you

You might need your soil tested.....include lime & old horsemanure in a ring around the tree in very early spring.  One year we had tons of apples....next year half or less than the amount

With proper sun exposure, soil conditioning, drainage, nutrition, protection from wind, proper pruning, yes... it will. Its not Native to NS, So you'll have better luck with say, Honeycrisp, which is an eastern apple.... but with good gardening, you can grow it.
