that sounds like a bleight...................if you spray with sevin you should not eat the currants.....but try a soap bath on them first..........................after the sun passes over 1 teasp liquid hand soap w 1 qt water................spray well and you can spray again later..for the maple tree you have to use sevin....check the container for instruction and follow it.............use old long clothes, mask, hat, gloves and goggles..............and you will need one of those big fat semi-clear pump style containers to mix & spray that tree well................keep children & pets away for the tree until it is dry.
