Planted months ago. 15 plants along a wall.
Water 3x week for ten minutes per time. Water in early morning. Afternoon sun. Good water. One plant began to turn brown two weeks ago, and is now dead. The plant next to it is now starting to die. The other seven plants are all doing fine. Tried more water. Tried fertilizer.

Check the Ph level of the soil, it should be right around a 4 any lower and the plants will die, and higher and they cannot be revived, it must be right in the zone of 4, no more

Hmm, I'm also having similar problem.  If anyone finds solution, please share.

I'm looking into a soil test, and wondering if it's a disease within the soil, or saturated chemical within the soil?  Looking at Root Knot nematodes, Phytophora Root Rot, etc.

Other suggestions?

same problem here, I removed the one that seemed to be afected and trimmed it back leaves and roots...could not see any obvious root rot, tried a pesticide and fungacide as well with no joy...I did notice all the leaves that were turning brown had a small dot on them visible top and bottom...hence my thoughts on some pest/fungus...I also notice a lot of knats around them each time I watered them just before the appearance of the brown leaves!! Any advice will be appreciated!
