I received a pussy willow indoor tree as a gift in March.  It initially required water frequently and bloomed fully.  I forgot to water it in time once.  Since that time (about a month ago) its leaves have completely dried up and fallen.  The soil stays moist at all times.  It seems like the plant is not soaking up any water. Is this plant dead?  Is there anything I can do to save it?

It is not dead, you will need to revitalize the soil.  Mix at least 16 oz of rotten milk with 3 oz (by weight) of Oats (the kind that you can purchase in the grocery store), add some shredded cardboard or old newspapers with lots of ink.  Now mulch this mixture  into the soil, it will take 7 to 10 days to see the results, At first it may just be the stubs of leaves, it should take off right around the 10 to 20 days mark.  You will only need to do this one time.
