I planted them in containers - moved them away fromthe garden - couldn't fool the squash bugs but in a container and up off the soil, I could find them and their eggs easier and I have checked them twice a day - removing leaves or parts of leaves that had eggs and catching the grown-ups and putting them in a plastic bag and killing them.
Yesterday, I actually found no bugs or no eggs and the plants are still alive and have severak kuttke sqyasg, Time consuming even with just 8 plants and my kids keep telling me just go buy them at the store! I however hate being defeated by a bug that has already destroyed my squash for the past 2 years in my garden!!
