I live in Las Vegas, NV.
I have my first organic, container garden on the West side of my patio on see through shelves on cinder blocks for good drainage & no crawling around on my bad knees.
I've planted organic Burpees Cheyenne Purple tomato, Swiss Chard, Mesclun, Cantaloupe & American Seed Crimson Giant Radish.
I have been told I have to thin them out into other pots. This is scary because I managed to kill all my sunflowers attempting to take from pot to ground. I even used bonemeal in soil to soften the shock per a successful gardener friend.
I have also been told some things will reseed themselves if you harvest in a certain way.
I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to growing any kind of plants so would appreciate even a recommendation to a great, beginner, organic gardener book.
My garden and I thank you in advance for any assistance you might offer
