Can I grow my Collard Green Plant indoors; to protect it from excessive FL heat?

I planted Georgia Collard Greens, early May.  Than found out I shld have planted it in the fall.  I'm in N. Fl, so it will get hotter.  Is there any chance I can grow them indoors?  This my 1st time planting, any advise would be good advise for me.  When I found out I could plant some vegetables in pots, I went 'buy crazy' & didn't check for the season I should plant some in.  Due to disabilities I can't get on the ground so I opted for large pots.....Help, Help, Help...Thanks

they do better in cooler weather if you have a summer enclosed porch that has sun it might work in a container......1 seed per container.
