I had a very healthy plant one month ago. now ,from the bottom, the leaves are turning bright yellow. When I first bought the plant, I placed the container with the plant in it, into a larger more attractive pot. We then had a huge rainfall last weekedn and the larger pot collected alot of the rain. I went to check on the plant a few days ago, and it was immersed in the watter. I have since removed the plant from the larger container, and have it sitting on the ground, where another gardenia thrived well some years ago. Thus I am hoping the sun conditions will be more helpful for this gardenia. But what is making the leaves go yellow?? and no flowers........on the other hand the plant has skyrocketed with new green leaves . This morning I trimmed them back, hoping more energy would be given to the buds the plant has. WHAT CAN I DO??
