What can be used to kill carrot weed without harming my lawn SoCal

I live in Southern California and for the past two springs, carrot weed has taken over half of my lawn. What can I use to kill carrot weed without harming my lawn (St. Augisten).

Yes, but you may want to water it down some.  Say 60/40, your lawn will survive.  Don't use it straight or you will kill the root system of your lawn. -Birdy

you could use weed & feed....check the label to make sure it's on the list of weeds.

or you could dig it out..............when you cut your grass use a grass catcher to keep the seeds in the bag and trash it...............

I've got the same problem in Phoenix...experimenting.  Took a weed hoe and scraped the carrot weeds from the dirt, wasn't perfect.  Laid down sod and they suffocated!  Has been months and no sign--now to the rest of the lawn.  Put down weed killer, guess the carrot weed wasn't in the 250 weeds the weed killer kills--it's still there.
