How to care for a Mac apple tree

Question

I have 2 15-20 foot Mac apple trees in my back yard. I am unable to eat the apples due to what looks like worm hole through out the mis-shapen apples. I would like to beable to eat the apples next year if possible. Could you tell me if there is some thing I can spray on them or feed them and if trimming is also needed. I also have a small pear tree that has greenish looking pears on it, but has the same kind of problem.

This fall when the leaves fall off, mix up the dorment oil and spray..............spray again early spring as soon as the snow melts..............spray according to the schedule on the container, we keep spraying until the bud opens, once that happens we stop because it will kill the bees, then I just spray the trunk up to the first branch.  PH for apples should be 5.0-6.5.  Early spring we lime & use composted horse or cow manure around the fruit trees.  Happy Fall.  Dormant oil smothers any bugs & larvae..........
