I got a spot on a sweet pepper (red sweet pepper which was still green)., It was tan at first. , Then I just picked it and there was a hole about the size of two half dollars., Part of the hole had a thin layer of pepper that was tan and black and almost translucent., I just picked it and did not touch the infected area,. Is the remainder of the pepper ok to eat?, What caused the problem., I have another pepper on the same plant ant it has a tan spot the size of a dime., What should I do?
