I have not been able to remedy what I thought was leaf miner activity in my citrus leaves (naval and blood orange trees,) although it does not resemble the pics I've seen published on this subject. I've gone to a nursery, ane they thought it was leaf miners. Now, I am experiencing leaves curling, even brand new leaves. Also, the leaves are mis-shapen right out of the chute.
I am wondering if watering improperly could ave anything to do with that. I live in the San Joaquin Valley, where it gets severely not in summer. I am deep soaking 2x per wk.
The nursery I went to asked me if they had been fertilized, which they have. But was it done correctly? They were in oak barrels, where they weren't doing well (the water saturation is so uneven.) So I transplanted them into the ground, where they seem to be doing better over all, but still have these unhealthy leaves. I've had an orange tree before, and there was no trouble at all with it. Is is possible the nursery sold me trees with problems?
The trees had been fertilized when I planted them in the barrels 1 yr ago. Then when transplanted into ground I mixed Jobe's citrus fertilizer again as instructed, mixing it with dirt and new potting soil. I wish I could send pics of my leaves. They also have bumps all over them, like when somethng is shriveled up. No discoloration at the bumps, but the older leaves also look scorched. I try not to get water on them unless it is early in the morning.
