How far apart should I plant dymondia? I had our grass lawn replaced with dymondia (planted by our landscaper) and one year later it is fabulous! I now want to plant it curbside, a total area of 200 sq. ft. in two sections which are 4 1/2 feet wide. We are in Los Angeles County and about a mile from the coast. We get morning sun and afternoon partial sun and shade in the area. Our soil is dirt above sand and has decent drainage but there are roots from two large trees (city owned, which I can't touch!). What should I use and how much to amend the soil before planting? For our lawn area I watered for 8 minutes every other day and then, after established I cut back to every three days to twice a week.
