2 trees that were planted just 2 yrs. ago aren't doing too well cuz of the drought, so I put pure peat moss around the trunks and now I'm just wondering if I did the right thing for the trees to stay hydrated or will it rot the trees? I checked them the other day and the trunks were wet when I pushed some of the peat moss away from them. Did I place too much peat moss and now they're not getting enough air?
I don't know what kind of trees these are in our complex, but if it matters I'd guess maybe a maple or an oak cuz the leaves are big and a dark green and shaped into possibly 5 tips...
would U help these poor trees before I kill them... Thanks much!
