my squash are wilting when they are very young on the plant...what is causing this?

when I get a new squash (crookneck Yellow) when the flower drops off the squash begin to wilt and die...before it gets a chance to grow any bigger than 2 inches...could you tell me what would be causing this to happen the flowers are big and beautiful the leaves are big and green...I have fertilized it with miracle grow for vegetables...pls help...I live in Arizona where the heat is really hot...i water with a soaking hose about an hour each morning so i do not root rot...and I also spray the plants with water for about 10 minutes.

ph should be 6.0-7.5.......don't spray water on the plant...........water the ground only after the sun goes down and it cools off...........put mulch under the plant carefully to not disturb it after the sun goes down and it is cool........Happy Summer.
