I have four canadian hemlocks that I didn't burlap this year because I thougth they were shaded enough to escape this winters cold blasts of ice, snow, wind and sun scorching. My heart is so heavy as I look at them the color of rust. They are still alive. I have scratched their stems and I see green and they are green in side, but the outer branches are completely brown. Is there a chance that they will get new buds and turn green once more or I am I out of luck.
