whenever is the coolest time of the year for you to work outside. They usually go in the pots in warm areas. They have new vitamin soil. A lot of times when they put them in containers they do not use good soil but mulch.........you need to transplant that on the coolest day and keep it out of the strong sun or it will go into shock. Soil need to be damp does not like wet feet, use pot feet....to keep pot off porch and to let the water go out....regular feeder of time released food except for winter. grows 8 to 10 ft......do not give too much fertilizer...does not like strong winds a terra pot turned upside down might replace the pot feet. The don't like it under 10 degrees......so if there is a frost warming you might want to bring that into your garage or enclosed porch until the weather changes. Happy Summer. Oh that makes great jam.
