New raised beds being built-up just for growing these melons, just to prepare Specifically for These melons. I could: use straw/Alfalfa layering, blood and bone meal sprinkled each layer compost on top/half (or blended 1/2 and 1/2 compost and great soil foodweb compost tea fed soil). Have Goat manure and bedding avail, chicken manure also, and building this fall for a large crop. What blend duplicates that southern France soil?
Yeah, I have good soil, sandy clay, alive with microbes I feed and cover crop over winter and it's spectacular stuff, so what? I wish TASTE of the South of France, so I need to duplicate their soils and minerals and have a living soil. Help me out if you can, please.
