Can unripe pecans be salvaged when a limb falls?

My pecan trees are so loaded with nuts this year 2 fairly large branches have fallen due to the weight. The pecans on the limbs are close to maturity...they are generally being harvested at the end of this month. Will they mature without being on the tree. I have put them on a tarp in the garage with a fan on them. There is approximately 100 lbs of them I would rather not waste. Anyone know if this will work to save the pecans?
