Very thin skinned type that has a long growning season. Has been excellent until this final picking.
As it starts to ripen, black patches appear and at the patches are mushy while the green parts are very hard.
Live in California and the new crop is starting therefore picked the old crop off.
As a whole this year's crop was very large but the fruit was much smaller but great.
The tree is mature , 40+ yrs. old. Year after year, while quantity varies, the quality is always. excellent.
