Northern Catalpa tree is losing it's leaves and there is a sticky substance all over the ground beneath the tree. From what I can discover it's possibly an infestation of the ceratomia catalpae moths. Will this infestation kill the tree? Will it be a yearly problem? Should it be treated? Are the catepillars burrowing into our lawn? Will the burrowing catepillars kill our lawn? Should the lawn be treated to kill the infestations?
