can U dry sunflower seeds in the dehydrator and then plant them next year?

I grew sunflowers and would like to save some of the seeds for next year.

I would not do that...........just let the flower die off, then cut it and put it into an envelope next year take it out gently take the dried seeds out and sprinkle them where you want them to grow again....cover with a little dirt.

I would not suggest that.  Why bother, when they dry on the head in nature anyway.  Cut the sunflower head off once it is spent on the stalk and bring inside a patio area where it can dry some more.  Then easily pick the seeds out and keep in a paper bag until next spring.  If you are looking for a good sunflower seed source, check out www.edenbrothers.com
