One only has to try things, good luck!
I just logged on to say some 60 years ago I was young and wanting to try all things- nectarines were relatively new on the market - no computers then so I just tried.
I planted several stones from really ripe nectarines soon had 2 trees, maybe 8-10 feet high -in several years - and sure enough one spring they blossomed and sure enough I did get several fruits. The next year had no blossoms so having questions I called Ag extention. They told me that because of tree being grown in this way, and due to climate (I lived in Wisconsin then) it was not unlikely that I'd have a few fruits but that subsequent years were extremely doubtful. Trees survived a few more years, no more fruit and then they were cut down to make room for other plants.
Call it success or failure, no fruite EVER tasted as GREAT!
