I found worms in my lilac bush

I ntices a dead branch inmy lilac I snapped it off and there were worms in the branch how do i get rd of them befor they kill t whole bush?

You can cut out that branch and trash it...............you could try when the sun goes down have ready a mix of 1 teasp liquid soap & 1 qt water and spray under & over each.......................if it rains do it again........................if this does not work for you,  you could buy sevin and read the directions, wear old long clothing, goggles, gloves, hat and mask and spray on windless day.................read container for next application.  Keep children & pets away until it is dry.

Likely borers.  Remove any damaged or dead branches and dispose of them.   A systemic drench is probably your best bet.  Follow application instructions on the label.
