It is really getting big and I need to move it...and also can I transplant by cutting off a branch and sticking it into the ground?

You can only do the cut branches in ealy spring when the prebuds are on it.

RIGHT NOW it the time to trim before the buds open, we cut and drilled holes in new ground with a long drill bit and a power drill, much easier than just trying to push into the ground we went down as long as the drill and I went behind him pushing them in and watering them.  They all boomed 3 weeks later.  HAPPY SPRING !!!!

You also can trim it after it blossoms to shape and contain it.  I have one outside the front porch to trap the dust.
