when to pick broccoli

My broccoli has big heads on them and now little yellow flowers are starting to grow on them.  when do I pick them?

Pick the bunches that haven't flowered yet.  By letting some flower you most likely will get more heads this year.  Also the bees LOVE broccoloi flowers so you'll have more pollination in the garden.

The center of a broccli plant is where you will get your first and biggest head. Pic when flower buds are tight and dark green. After you cut out the head more baby broccli with grow out by the cut. Work in some fertilizer around the plant after you cut the 1st head out.
