I have a privacy hedge on south side of yard comprised of about nine arrowood viburnum.  One has leaves turning brown and it looks like it might be dying.  The one right next to it has a small amount of leaves which look the same, but not as brown and dead looking.  The rest of the shrubs look just fine.  Japanese beatle control was applied in that area earlier in June, could it have received to much in the intense heat in Central Mo?

Hmmm, the other plants may be crowding out the resources that are needed to keep these two alive and healthy.  Try this: pour a mixture of 1/5 gal. water, with 16 oz. sour milk, 4 oz. sugar, and 1 -2 teaspoons of baking powder (not soda), at the base of the ailing plants.  It should only take one application, though in rare cases, it may take two.  You should see results in about 12 to 15 days after application. -Birdy
