I have grown tomatoes in pots this year. We live North of Vancouver, BC. The forecast for the next two weeks is high of 10 low of 6. I have 50 pieces of fruit which I would like to see ripen. they are green now. I think it is too cold for outside now. I am hoping with minimal light inside my carport (low heat with one small baseboard heater to keep above freezing- but will be warmer than outside), I can ripen the fruit. The plants have too many bugs to mix with my indoor plants in a better lighted area. I am looking for comments or suggestions.

before you bring them into your carport..................mix up 1 qt water & 2 tablespoons dawn & spray on & under & soil..................let them drip and bring them into the carport.................70 is the temp to ripen them....maybe take some big ones off and wipe dry & put on your kitchen counter top out of the sun to ripen.  They can survive at 50 under that they might get mushy...........or you could mix up 2 tablespoons bleach in 1 gallon of water and wipe the big ones and wrap in newspaper when dry and put into a box where it is cool between 35 to 40 and then will ripen by Thanksgiving....have to keep checking them.............
