I'm planting a weeping willow in an area that has excellent drainage due to gravel at 2 or 2-1/2 feet under river bottom soil.  The water table is approximately 10' deep; however, there is no pond or lake or standing water.  Do weeping willows develop deep tap roots?

Yes and don't plant 100 ft from septic system, cess pool, walls, foundations, drain field, house or barn.  They seek water.  Good to plant along a creek to hold the bank.
