can i rid my myer lemon tree of the mosaic virus by removing all the leaves and leaving the tree?

I just learned of this virus. The tree is bearing fruit and is about 4 ft tall. The leaves have the appearance of the mosaic virus. My gardening friend just informed me of such a thing I wasn't aware. Is it possible to save the tree by removing all it's leaves and fertization? That was her suggestion please let me know the best course of action. I love my myers lemon tree!

I would wait for the sun to go down and let it cool mix up 2 tablespoons dawn & 1 qt water spray the leaves.........both side and see if that helps.  I would call where you bought it and take a leaf over.  You might need to do this again if it rains.  Go on line and look for Meyer Lemon problems and look for more suggestions.
