i have 8 real pumkins and if i use 2 for halloween can i frezze the other 6 without cooking them first

You should wash them cut them take out the seeds & strings............roast until very soft and use an icecream scoop......put it on a tray.....you can measure 2 cups to a bag.  That keeps the color & quality and you can also roast the seeds after washing and a little olive oil on very low....keep checking them...if you like salt add a little before cooking....I also like black pepper on it............
